Our type of churchWe are fairly informal in the way we do church and for us it is important that our faith lives relate to our everyday lives, and the lives of the people in the community and world around us. This is reflected in the way we do things when we meet together - there are plenty of opportunities to share concerns, celebrate good news, consider questions about faith, and listen to one another.
Our kind of faithTogether we think that faith helps people to live positive lives and, though troubles still come along, that connecting with God in our day-to-day lives gives us real help and strength.
We also believe that Jesus showed the importance of caring for others and not just thinking about ourselves, so we try to live this out in the way that we organise our church activities and use our building. SpiritualityWhilst we're very community and justice focussed, we do take time for connecting, reflecting and prayer when we meet together.

Social justiceIncluding othersAs Christian people we don't expect everyone else to be! Baptists in the UK have always spoken out for freedom for each person to follow the faith of their choice or none, and we have good friendships with people of a variety of faiths... or none!
We aim to be inclusive and affirming as a church, we hope you find us as such. |
